Good morning from our balcony.

I watched these guys fishing from their small boat this morning. One guy in the front was swinging a bowl-like thing on the end of a rope up and out into the water, and then scooping it through the water and back to the boat. What could he be fishing for that way?

Here's a look at our apartment. It is very big and luxurious! Everyone has their own room, bathroom, and balcony. Here's what it looks like when you walk in-- a sitting area by the door, and another one by the TV and next to a big balcony overlooking the harbor.

Jesus is here, presiding. So is the Baghwan Shree Rajneesh (if you've watched Wild, Wild Country on Netflix you know who I'm talking about). A previous tenant was apparently a devotee, because there are many books by and about Osho on the bookshelf to the left of the entrance door.

To the right of the TV sitting area is the dining area. The doors behind the table lead to the master bedroom (L), then Agatha's room (middle), and Henry's room (R, open door).

This is the view of the kitchen, standing in front of the door to Henry's room. You see the handwashing sink at L; every public place here has prominent handwashing areas because people mostly eat with their hands. When we went to buy dishes and towels and things for the house, we were able to find forks and spoons but they were labeled as baby feeding ware! Civilized adults eat with their hands. Around the corner to the left is a little service porch with the washing machine, and a narrow bed and additional bathroom for the maid, if we had one.

Everyone has a giant king-sized bed. Agatha could have a whole slumber party in there.

Here's what an Indian bathroom looks like. They are all the same in our apartment, and similar to the ones we've experienced in hotels as well. The entire room is a wet room. You turn on the hot water heater if you want a warm shower. There is always a bucket under the shower-- why?
